Nora Roberts knows how to tell a good tale. Shadow Spell is a bit darker than Dark Witch but thoroughly enjoyable. I enjoyed all the witchy stuff especially when the cousins are able to visit Sorcha’s children in their dreams. I thought their reluctance to act of their feelings because they were trying to find a way to destroy an evil force was well written. Like Dark Witch, the romance between Connor and Meara wasn’t my favourite part but at least it didn’t make me want to sick up on myself. I’ve also borrowed the third book, Blood Magick from the library. Shadow Spell is the second book in the Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy. This is my second time reading Nora Roberts. He heard the cock crow, so arrogant and important, and the bleating of sheep as they cropped their way across the green fields.
