Having tried and tested most slidebuilders, nothing comes close to FotoMagico 5 Pro, the software is easy to use for home users aswell as professionals who want to impress their clients. ProShow Gold is so incredibly slow, has such a bad user interface - and, none of my favorite transitions is available in ProShow.Developer Boinx Software International GmbH Well, I am so happy to have abandoned ProShow Gold in favor of FotoMagico.

I have to admit, I did not upgrade to 3.0 yet, 2.6 did not have the problems the OP reported.įotomagico still has a long way to go to be comparable to ProShow Gold. The only way to mitigate this is having multiple tracks of music (unless you want to fiddle with the audio markers) - since a music track always starts exactly when the corresponding slide starts, this re-syncs video and audio. You are losing the effect of slides changing exactly to the beat of the music. Not what I experienced: Slide timing in FotoMagico is not that reliable - after 400 slides and an hour's show, it's easily 15 seconds off. It has worked for me in all cases without a problem. What I do is make the slide show, look at its length and then in Garage Band put together all music with transitions that matches the length of the slide show and then import it in Fotomagico. I have not encountered the same problem like you. I tried using VM Fusion, but even on the MacPro with 2 cores and 2gb of RAM dedicated to it, after 20 photos were put in, it was unusable. Once this project is done, I'm going to try using Proshow gold on XP in Boot Camp with MacDrive to access the photo and audio files. So I guess the mysterious truncating and lengthening of the audio track is the "magico" part. Again all I want to do is put the audio track in and not have Fotomagico make any changes to it. Sometimes it shortens the track and sometimes it lengthens it and there is no way to change the audio track back to its original length other than to remove it completely and then put it back in. However, what Fotomagico is doing is actually editing the length of the audio track automatically which makes it impossible for me to time the slides properly. I have no problem manually timing the slides to go where I want. All I want to do is drop the audio track into Fotomagico and have it left alone. I understand that advanced audio options are not possible. We are working on advanced audio editing but it may take much longer to integrate this. There you can set up if you would like to loop the track or not, but there is no way to see in FotoMagico after which slide audio will stop. FotoMagico isn't designed to do advanced audio editing, all adjustments on audio can be made in the option toolbar. You can move the track, expand and shorten it. the audio track in FotoMagico doesn't show it's duration, or its waveform, it is only a track that you notice, an audio track was added.

there is no fixed postion on audio and it isn't possible at the moment to allow fixed positions. In FotoMagico everything is relativ to the slides. This was what Boinx said to me in an email this morning:
